The Prenatal Diagnosis (PND) Clinic receives referrals from Hamilton and the surrounding region, including Burlington, Guelph, Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge, Brantford, Welland, Niagara Falls and St. Catharines. Women are referred to our clinic when there is a higher chance of a variety of concerns for their pregnancies, such as birth defects, chromosome abnormalities or genetic syndromes. Some of these conditions can be passed down in a family, while others occur in patients with no family history or medical concerns in the pregnancy.

The PND Clinic is dedicated to helping women and their families make informed choices about screening and diagnostic options in their pregnancies in a supportive environment. We have a devoted team to manage many different aspects of patient care, including Genetic Counsellors, Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialists (specially trained obstetricians), Geneticists, Social Workers, and support staff. We also have a large referral network of many other specialists at Hamilton Health Sciences who are available as needed.

The information on this website will provide you with a better understanding of the Prenatal Diagnosis Clinic and the care that we provide to our patients. If you would like more information, please call 905-521-2100 ext. 76247 to speak to one of our genetic counsellors.
