There are four Emergency Departments, one of which is dedicated to children only, and two Urgent Care Centres serving all of Hamilton, Ancaster, Dundas, Stoney Creek, Flamborough and the region.

IMPORTANT: McMaster University Medical Centre Emergency Department now treats children 17 and under only.  Adults will continue to receive emergency care at the three other Emergency Departments in Hamilton - Hamilton General Hospital, Juravinski Hospital, St. Joseph's Healthcare - Charlton campus.

The Hamilton health care system offers a wide range of service options to help support your health care needs including Urgent and Emergency care services, Family Health Teams, Telehealth and Community Care Access Centres (CCAC).
